This research performed by 4 M.D.'s and 20 women will prove the effectiveness of custom audio subliminal messages and give you some ideas about how you can use it to make your life better. 20 women, average age of 25, where chosen based on: 1- Normal alertness. Each woman where tested for absence of medication in their bloodstream to insure the accuracy of the test results. 2- Normal hearing ability. Each woman was tested with an audiogram. In this double blind study, each woman spent a 2-hour session each week, for 2 consecutive weeks. 2 types of subliminal messages where used in the study - neutral and emotional. Each woman was exposed to both stimuli. The order of subliminal messages where random. All messages where presented to the women in both an alert posture (sitting up straight) and a relaxed posture (laying back with eyes closed). Each study was preformed on each woman alone in a soundproof room in an armchair using a set of headphones. Upon arrival, each woman was placed with biological sensors for heart rate, muscular activity and electrodermal conductivity (sweating). For the first phase, each woman was placed in the chair. Through headphones, she heard a consistent white noise sound of 40 dB for 10 minutes to establish stabilization of the baseline physiological measures. Then the woman was instructed to press a button 1 time if she heard anything, which is also known as the detection threshold. She was then instructed to press it 2 times if she could identify what was being said, also known as the identification threshold. After establishing the baseline for 10 minutes, the "emotional" subliminal messages where then sent starting at 0 dB, increasing by 5 dB until the woman could identify what was being said. At each level of intensity, the emotional messages where repeatedly sent for 1 minute to record the physiological responses. For the second phase, the same procedure was followed for the "neutral" subliminal messages. For the third phase, each woman was lying down with her eyes closed and the emotional subliminal where sent. She didn't have to push anything. The stimulation was stopped 5 dB below her established identification threshold. For the fourth phase, the woman was reclined with eyes closed and the neutral procedure was followed. Again, she didn't have to push the button. The stimulation was increased from 0 dB and stopped 5 dB below her identification threshold. The main finding was that the emotional and biological responses the women gave where witnessed and recorded as they where receiving subliminal messages below their specific detection threshold. This was the case for both emotional and neutral subliminal messages. When they had to push the buttons, or pay attention to what they where listening to, the physiological response was increased with the volume intensity more than with the meaning of the words. However, when they didn't have to push the buttons, and could passively listen, the physiological response was increased more with the meaning of the words than the sound level. Subliminal messages sent to a person who is not paying attention to the messages are more effective than those sent to a person who is focused on the subliminal messages.
